Inspired by our friends at Holy Hikes we will be taking the Garden Church to the trails this Sunday. As we celebrate the closing of the season of Advent and move into a new year, we will take a meditative hike together, stopping and reflecting along the way. We’ll meet in the parking lot at Founders Park and make our way down the trails together. We’ll stop at a few outlooks along the way for reflection and prayer. When we get down to the beach we’ll read our scripture readings and then let the sermon message for the day come to each of us in the still small voice of the waves. We’ll then hike down the beach a ways together and stop and have our Sacred Meal (Communion) and share afternoon snacks together before hiking back up the hill with our intentions and hopes for the new year.

Bring: Good hiking/walking shoes, sunscreen, water bottle, and an easy snack to share.
