When on Aug. 9, 1964, Watts Street Baptist Church in Durham, N.C. ordained Addie Davis, she became the first Southern Baptist woman to be ordained. Baptist Women in Ministry recently marked the 50th anniversary of that event. This art perfectly reflects the significance of that event and God’s continual call to women.
